Topic: The American Documentary Photographic Tradition

Ben Sloat is a 2008-2009 U.S. Fulbright Scholar grantee based in Meinong, Taiwan. Through this photographic project, Ben hopes not only to provide a unique perspective on the region, but also to provide a visual and artistic resource for the future. Ben is an adjunct professor teaching photography, digital media, and photo history at the Art Institute of Boston. His recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Front Gallery in Oakland, California and Safe-T Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, as well as group shows at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Gallery 1600 in Atlanta, Georgia.
