What is American Studies?
American Studies promotes an understanding of American society, culture and values-- past and present. American Studies is interdisciplinary, incorporating elements of economics, history, literature, sociology, and art history, among others, and encourages scholars from diverse disciplines to exchanges ideas on scholarship as it relates to the American experience. What is American Studies Seminar Series?
The American Studies Seminar Series features local Taiwan experts leading talks and discussions on topics related to America. The high-profile programs will take place at island-wide venues for student, faculty and professional audiences from September 2007 to June 2008.
